Your new companyI am thrilled to partner with a well-established employer located in the heart of Belfast City Centre to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their esteemed finance team. This prominent organisation is renowned for its excellent company culture, with a strong emphasis on staff development and growth.

Your new roleAs a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing journal entries
  • Managing accruals and prepayments
  • Liaising with auditors to prepare for year-end expenditure
  • Reviewing year-to-date actual expenditure against the budget and implementing agreed adjustments
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency

What you'll need to succeedThis position is ideal for a qualified accounting technician or an individual with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including strong Excel skills, particularly with V Lookups and Pivot Tables. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a flexible and helpful mindset. Applicants should possess proficient written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
