Your new companyI am thrilled to partner with a well-established employer located in the heart of Belfast City Centre to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their esteemed finance team. Your new roleAs a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing journal entries
- Managing accruals and prepayments
- Liaising with auditors to prepare for year-end expenditure
- Reviewing year-to-date actual expenditure against the budget and implementing agreed adjustments
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency
What you'll need to succeedThis position is ideal for a qualified accounting technician or an individual with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including strong Excel skills, particularly with V Lookups and Pivot Tables. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a flexible and helpful mindset. Applicants should possess proficient written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
