Your new roleWorking within the established team, the Assistant Accountant will be involved in a range of duties including:
- Actively participate in the implementation of processes across the organisation.
- Support the delivery of workshops for Operational and Finance teams to drive business improvements.
- Assist in integrating new and existing businesses into the finance system.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including Internal Audit, Group Finance, and the broader Finance Team.
- Engage with external entities, such as Statutory Auditors and HMRC, as needed.
- Facilitate the annual audit process.
- Prepare and submit regulatory and statutory returns, including VAT and CIS.
What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be computer-literate. They must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have a keen eye for detail with the ability to deliver high-quality numerical and analytical work. Additionally, the candidate should be a self-starter, highly motivated, and capable of working on their own initiative.
