Your new companyHays are working with a large public sector organisation to recruit for a clerical officer on a temporary basis. This is for an immediate start.

Your new roleYou will act as the first point of contact from solicitors and members of the public. You will undertake administrative duties , data input duties and answer telephone enquiries. You will be required to highlight serious incidents to the senior team members that require further investigation. You will maintain confidentiality at all times, ensuring adherence to GDPR.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 1 years' clerical experience.
  • 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent including Maths and English or be able to have at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar post.
  • Customer Service experience including handling queries
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a polite telephone manner
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Working experience using MS Office packages including Word and Excel.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
