Your New CompanyHays are partnering with a reputable public service organisation to recruit for a Clerical Officer to assist with the administration/production of all products in an accurate and efficient manner whilst providing a high level of customer service. This position is temporary until the end of August 2025.Your New Role

  • Address queries about various products and assist with replacements for lost, stolen, or faulty products
  • Maintain and update customer information, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Safeguard sensitive customer information in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Manage and update product statuses, including hot listing lost cards and clearing redundant ones.
  • Calculate and process quotations for new and renewal product applications.
  • Manage ticketing income, process payments, and ensure secure storage of customer banking details.
  • Reconcile financial records and assist with refunds in line with company policies.
  • Resolve escalated and duplicate applications to prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience of working on databases
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel
