The Company
Our client, a Southern-based engineering firm, has recently expanded its capabilities after joining forces with another prominent door solutions provider. They now can manufacture, supply, and install high-specification doors to a range of blue-chip customers. This exciting period of growth sees them expanding operations across the UK. Applications are now being welcomed from candidates inLondon, Bedford, Kent, Peterborough, Hertfordshire, and other southern areas of England to strengthen nationwide coverage.
The Role
Our client is looking to expand their highly skilledInstallation Teamto carry out repairs and installations onroller shutters, industrial doors, automatic doors, glazing systems, barriers, and loading bays. Work will be planned by the scheduling team and allocated via mobile phone/PDA, which is provided to each engineer.
Responsibilities include installations, fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on prestigious commercial, industrial, and public sector contracts. Some larger installations may require overnight stays.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous field experience in the industry is essential.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with a variety of industrial doors.
- IPAF and PASMA qualifications are desirable.
- Electrical skills would be an advantage.
- Experience with automatic doors or knowledge of EN 16005 standards is a plus.
- A flexible attitude towards overtime and call-outs.
- Able to represent the company well, providing a positive client experience.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass a CRB check (for certain projects).
- A CSCS card would be beneficial.
