Are you a Substances / Material Engineer currently looking for a new career opportunity within Materials Engineering? If so Expleo have the role for you. Expleo Engineering is working on behalf of one of the world's largest Automotive manufacturers to recruit a Materials Compliance Engineer. This is a long-term contract role based at our clients site in Bedfordshire.

Responsibilities of the Material Engineer include:

* Coordinating the gathering and the validation of substances and materials composition information of vehicles and parts.
* Monitoring compliance with regulations related to substances.
* Controlling vehicle interior air quality by testing materials, parts and vehicles.
* Presenting vehicle compliance status reports to senior management in accordance with vehicle development milestones.

Skills and experience required for the Material Engineer position:

* Experience within compliance or regulatory activities, preferably applied to substances and materials.
* Knowledge of International Material Data System and iPoint software's.
* Ideally Degree level educated within chemistry/materials science.
* Valid UK/European driving licence.
