Location: South Marston Park, Swindon

About the Role:
Are you passionate about quality and keen to play a key role in upholding industry standards? We're proud to be assisting our client in seeking a dynamic Quality Engineer to manage ISO 9001:2015 compliance and take charge of all quality-related queries at the Company.

This role will see you work directly with customers, suppliers, and the sales team, while reporting to the Group Operations Manager. You'll be the go-to person for product certifications, approvals, and customer returns, ensuring top-notch service across the board.

You will need to be well versed and have overseen ISO 9001:2015 and have some knowledge of quality fault investigations.

It is likely that you will come from a technical mechanical assembly or mechanical engineering background.

It is really important that you have a keen desire to learn and get hands-on in the test workshop, supporting production with validation inspections as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer certification, approval inquiries, and quality-related issues between suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure that work instructions align with the Company's processes and quality standards.
  • Contribute to developing and continuously improving work instructions.
  • Manage customer product returns, performing testing and inspections as required.
  • Maintain and update the ISO 9001:2015 system.
  • Support supplier validation and quality assurance processes.
  • Handle administrative duties related to quality and engineering support.
  • Collaborate with production teams to provide final check sign-offs.
  • Generate root cause analysis reports for warranty returns.
  • Assist with production support as needed.

What the successful candidate will offer:

  • Excellent experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and used to carrying out internal audits and regular checks
  • Strong administrative and quality support experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Microsoft Navision.
  • A customer-focused mind set with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in a mechanical engineering/production environment.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:45 – 16:30
  • Friday: 07:45 – 14:00

What is being offered:

A salary between £27,000 and £30,000 dependent upon the level of experience you can offer. If you have extensive experience of assembling or maintaining mechanical and electrical items (minimum 3 years' commercial experience) along with ISO to audit level then the salary will be up to £30,000 per annum. On top of the salary is free parking, 20 days holiday plus 3 over the Christmas week along with Company Pension and more.
