SALARY - £34,000- £40,000 per annum dependant on experience (please advise)
My innovative engineering client is looking to take on a Quality Engineer, on a permanent basis, from a welding background.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Standards Knowledge: Proficient in ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Inspection Skills: Skilled in interpreting NDT inspection results and familiar with welding procedures (WPS, PQR, welder qualifications).
- System Knowledge: Knowledge of Pipework and vessel pressure systems (PED, PSSR) and UK machinery safety regulations (UKCA / CE certification processes).
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive inspection records, including detailed inspection reports, test results, and certifications.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and quality teams to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain critical project documentation, including Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Asset Registers, Technical Submittals, Weld Logging, and Pressure Testing Schedules.
- Document Control: Organize and track both electronic and hard copies of all project documentation, keeping document tracking logs current.
- Transmittals Management: Prepare and distribute transmittals and correspondence, ensuring proper logging and record maintenance.
- Document Retrieval: Support the project team by efficiently retrieving necessary documents and information.
