As a regional leader in Digital-out-of-Home (DooH) advertising in the Middle East, Our client has recently expanded to London as part of its global growth initiative. With over 1800 digital screens in 550 premium locations across the UAE, Our client aims to achieve a similar network scale in the UK over the next three years. As the companys business continues to grow, Our client seeks an AV & IT professional to help the company achieve its goals. To be considered for this role candidates must have solid experience of installing audio-visual hardware.

Position Summary:

The AV IT Network & Installation Technician will play a critical role in the set-up, installation, and ongoing maintenance of our digital signage network - ensuring seamless delivery of digital advertising content. The successful candidate will have experience in IT administration, with strong practical knowledge including end-to-end AV installation and troubleshooting skills.

The client's London network is comprised of dozens of remotely managed independent networks and hundreds of individual Windows-based media players. The Network Technician will manage the network remotely to troubleshoot issues, run diagnostics, and observe security features.

The role also requires someone who can work independently across various site locations, while also collaborating with our Dubai-based IT department. The ability to work on-site, install and replace AV and IT network equipment including endpoints and displays, and move throughout the city is critical. Independent character and the ability to work autonomously is essential to success in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain AV, IT,network devices and systems, including routers, switches, digital signage players, and display units.
  • Monitor network performance, identify and troubleshoot network issues, and implement solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform regular network maintenance, software updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability in collaboration with the Dubai IT team.
  • Collaborate with the IT teams to support the deployment of digital content on our client screens.
  • Document system and network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols to protect network and data integrity.

Skills and Technical Competencies:

  • Network Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and routing protocols.
  • Hardware Proficiency: Experience with AV systems and components, and network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve system and network issues efficiently.
  • Site Experience: Experience working and installing hardware on site is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Avixa CTS, CompTIA Network+, CCNA or manufacturer training) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in AV installation, AV engineering, network administration or a similar role.
  • Previous experience in AV installation, the DOOH industry, or with digital signage systems is a plus.
