Job Title: Research Scientist - DSP (Underwater Acoustics)
Location: Multiple locations around the UK
Job Type: Contract/Freelance
Clearance: SC
Initial length - 9 Months Phase 1
Our client is seeking the expertise of a Scientific Algorithm engineer who has prior and current experience with dealing with underwater sonar/acoustics, including the hardware that such algorithms will run from. due to the nature of these roles, you will need to be a British National and have prior/active SC Clearance. This project will be more than 1 singular phase.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement DSP algorithms for sonar and underwater systems.
- Collaborate on system requirements and specifications.
- Optimize algorithms for real-time processing on embedded platforms.
- Test and debug DSP systems.
- Document design processes and results.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
- Experience in DSP, SDR, and radar systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Real-time signal processing experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
