Are you an experienced Business Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity with competitive compensation? Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their team.
?? About Our Client:
Our client's Markets Governance & Control team collaborates with Markets businesses and functions, including Compliance, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit, to identify, evaluate, and manage operational and compliance risks in Markets Sales and Trading. As part of this team, you'll be joining the 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) Markets Controls Testing team responsible for executing a comprehensive, risk-based programme of control testing across all Markets businesses worldwide.
?? The Role:
As a Business Analyst, you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of effective controls within the Markets Trading and Sales businesses. Your key responsibilities will include:
Executing and reporting the results of control testingSupervising and coaching junior team membersMonitoring the execution of the testing programme and resolving obstaclesMaintaining high standards and best practises for testing activitiesProviding valuable insights and challenge to stakeholders on control design and effectivenessAssisting stakeholders in control remediation effortsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance, and Operational RiskPresenting impactful summary outputs from the testing programmeProviding Markets controls subject matter expertise across all three lines of defence
?? Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A solid understanding of Markets business activities and associated regulationsKnowledge of Markets Operational and Compliance risks, as well as related controlsStrong expertise in control design assessment and effectiveness testing techniquesPrevious experience in Front Office controls testing, internal audit, external audit/control consulting, or similar disciplinesThe ability to coach and develop team membersExceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver rigorouslyExperience in building and maintaining effective senior stakeholder relationshipsA track record of providing constructive and effective challenge to senior stakeholders on risk management matters

While a Bachelor's or university degree is preferred, our client values industry experience and an exceptional delivery track record equally.
