People Solutions is seeking experienced Van Drivers for home delivery work in Barnsley, available Monday to Saturday with start times at 06:00.
The position offers a salary of £12.00 per hour and requires candidates to have held a valid UK Category B Driving Licence for at least one year.
Responsibilities include safely driving delivery vans, making timely residential deliveries, and providing excellent customer service.
Candidates must have no more than six penalty points on their license and be willing to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
Experience in home deliveries as part of a two-person team is desirable but not essential.

People Solutions are recruiting experienced Van Drivers to cover home delivery work for our well-established homeware client based in Barnsley.

Day to Day Duties

Driving delivery vans safely and efficiently to make timely residential deliveries
Working as part of a two-person team
Occasionally being a driver's mate
Provide excellent customer service
Adhere to driving and working time regulations
Comply with company policies and procedures
Assist with furniture deliveries
Lifting and carrying

Essential Skills

Have held a valid UK Category B Driving Licence for a minimum of one year
No more than six penalty points
No major endorsement codes
Excellent customer service skills
Team player
Good communication skills
Hardworking
Must undergo drug and alcohol test

Desirable experience

Experience working as part of a two-person team making home deliveries is desirable but not essential

Training

Driving assessment must be undertaken
