We are searching for a Head Chef to join a prestigious dining establishment in Preston, known for its commitment to exceptional culinary standards and a locally sourced menu. This role offers the opportunity to lead a professional kitchen team in a vibrant gastropub setting, renowned for its traditional British cuisine and innovative approach.

Head Chef Key Responsibilities:

Design and regularly update menus to reflect seasonal availability, emphasizing local and sustainable ingredients
Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high performance
Ensure all dishes are prepared with attention to detail and consistent quality, enhancing the dining experience for all guests
Oversee all kitchen operations including inventory control, budget management, and compliance with health and safety standards
Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the provision of high-quality ingredients
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to regulatory guidelines

Head Chef Ideal Candidate:

Extensive experience as a Head Chef, preferably in a gastropub or high-end restaurant setting, with a solid track record of kitchen management
Strong foundation in British cuisine with the ability to innovate and present creative dishes
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and developing a team
Competent in managing kitchen budgets, logistics, and operations efficiently
Dedicated to maintaining high standards in every aspect of kitchen management and guest satisfaction
