About the Role:
The hotel is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen brigade and oversee all culinary operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef with a passion for high-quality, fresh, and locally sourced produce to develop and deliver a bespoke menu for hotel guests. The Head Chef will work closely with a talented team to ensure the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Creating and refining a bespoke menu that highlights the best of local, fresh produce.
- Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to the highest standards.
- Ensuring a high level of food hygiene, health, and safety compliance.
- Managing kitchen costs, including food inventory, ordering, and waste control.
- Overseeing the kitchen's performance for events and banqueting services for up to 120 guests.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally within a high-quality, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a talented brigade of chefs.
- A passion for working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating innovative dishes.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Experience managing kitchen costs, stock control, and health and safety procedures.
- Banqueting and event catering experience is desirable, but not essential.
