Position: Process Projects Engineer
Location: On-site and Workshop-based (Various Client Sites)
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for managing complex projects and leading teams? We are seeking a Process Projects Engineer to work directly with a Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of project teams on-site and in the workshop. In this role, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality, while meeting both business and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project teams, ensuring targets, time lines, and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate installations across multiple sites, working closely with project engineers and other team members.
- Plan and allocate tasks to maximise output and maintain cost efficiencies.
- Manage materials and equipment logistics, ensuring readiness and functionality.
- Ensure team adherence to risk assessments, safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
- Communicate any project scope or design changes to the project engineer.
- Support technical delivery, interacting with customers as needed to provide expertise.
- Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for improvement and training.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant engineering or production role.
- Competent in process engineering, particularly within special-purpose machinery.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Experience with technical project management, meeting tight schedules and budgets.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members.
Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or equivalent, with experience in hygienic standards (food environment preferred).
