CW Recruitment Specialists are looking for an experienced cosmetics formulator/cosmetic chemist to assist in creating formulations for our clients range of customers. The candidate must either be able to come to their facility in Perth or have an appropriate environment to work from and collaborate remotely with our onsite lab for sample production.

Day to day duties will include:

Leading the design of advanced cosmetic products the majority of which are plant based.
Formulating a variety of well-known cosmetic products, from balms, to creams to lubricants.
Managing projects from brief to final product with help from the Lab team in Perth.
Researching and evaluating raw materials and ingredients for technical and product enhancements.
Creating formulas that fit the customers brief, as well as being practical and cost effective.

Requirements:

Educated within a relevant science discipline.
Preferably 2 years minimum formulation experience.
Current or recent cosmetics experience is essential (preferably skincare).
Knowledge of UK and EU cosmetics/skincare regulations.
Ability to develop a product formulation from the ground up.
Ability to work collaboratively with an existing and established team.
Able to advise and discuss ideas with other lab technicians and lab supervisor.
