Your new companyHays are representing a leading engineering company to recruit a Marketing Manager in Cookstown.Your new roleAs Marketing Manager, you will support both the wider marketing team and support key accounts marketing and will be responsible for ensuring all marketing efforts and investment support the department's overall strategy and goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of the key accounts marketing strategy to deliver lead generation and retention targets.
  • Undertake research and identify potential areas to invest in
  • Work with third party agencies
  • Manage the assigned marketing budget.
  • Develop relationships with partners, influencers, trade media and industry associations.
  • Oversee & implement the planning and evaluation of all marcomms targeting key accounts in conjunction with inhouse and external agency support.
  • Oversee & implement targeted comms and content development for owned digital channels in conjunction with Digital Marketing.
  • Define marketing collateral requirements, managing production, such as project case studies, project videos and all literature, electronic media, site personnel and vehicles and promotional merchandise.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of attendance and speaking opportunities at all external events.
  • Oversee the management of accurate databases for customers and prospects and supporting other business functions in their execution of this.
  • Oversee the development and use of up-to-date databases to build relationships with key accounts and targets to achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Supervise information gathering or the compilation of statistics pertinent to the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing plans; refining and adjusting activities.
  • Prepare & deliver reports, outlining progress against KPIs.
  • Ensure you are building consistency with key accounts in developing pipelines/opportunities to be used in building Business Development forecasts, as well as in the creation of dashboards/reports for both senior management and Business Development management.
  • Adaption of plans based on market, company, customer insights & evaluation.
  • Manage any direct reports, ensuring that regular performance reviews are carried out, and that staff understand how their work contributes to the organisation's performance.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant business or marketing qualification, or a business-related discipline.
  • Have 1+ year's experience at Marketing Manager level in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Demonstrable export and lead generation experience.
  • Demonstrable experience developing, implementing, managing and evaluating best in class through-the-line marketing strategies on a number of projects running simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable experience of creative and entrepreneurial practice to achieve desired results.
  • Previous experience of analysing marketing activity.
  • Experience of compiling and managing a budget.
  • Fluent in English and possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with all levels within an organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate successfully.
  • Proven organisational skills - able to plan, organise & control your own workload.
  • A track record of identifying and implementing successful process changes.
  • Clean driving licence, own car.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to travel globally when required

Desirable:

  • A digital marketing qualification or working towards a digital marketing qualification such as CIM or DMI
  • B2B marketing experience or experience of working within a manufacturing environment (multi-site, multidisciplinary).
  • Relevant experience of the sand and aggregate industry.
  • Experience of using an ERP system and/or Salesforce.
  • Experience of content planning and creation, e.g. technical papers, video, social media content.
  • Experience of managing and developing direct reports.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, Portuguese, French
