Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for Sales Manager specialising in the horticulture/plant industry to cover the Lancashire/Yorkshire region. It is a brilliant opportunity to join a company who are going through significant growth and where there is plenty of career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities
To sell the range of growing media and fertilisers to commercial distributors and nurseries.
Drive profit and improve margins within the Lancashire/Yorkshire region.
Provide technical support for the products and ensure that the customers receive the best experience and technical backing that they need.
Update the technical team of any growers' issues and ensure that they are resolved.
Understand the business objectives of the customers.
Develop new customers in the region through business development strategies and continue to support and implement the growth strategy.
Produce monthly reporting figures and work closely with the department head to identify new opportunities.
Improve and maintain cost price increase plans.
Report and keep on top of market intelligence.


The Person
Previous sales and commercial experience within the Horticulture, Agrichemical, Agrochemical or plant industry.
Educated to degree or equivalent within either horticulture, plant science, agro etc.
Experience of driving performance and increasing profitability.
Experience of building and finalising new opportunities- proven track record is required.
Must have a driving licence and willingness to travel
Understanding of budgeting and forecasting, with an understanding of profit and loss.
