Position: Drainage Engineer

Location: London, Essex, Hertfordshire

Salary: Highly competitive salary

Standard Hours: 42.5h, from 7:30 16:00 Monday to Friday

Employment: Permanent, Full-Tme

Years of relevant experience: 3 years experience


The Role Overview

Our client EPPH is a leading client-focused mechanical, electrical and drainage contractor. They are seeking an experienced and professional engineer to join their expanding drainage division. They work within the commercial sector for leading blue-chip companies and government infrastructure organisations.

As a Drainage Engineer, you'll diagnose and resolve onsite issues and maintain commercial drainage systems independently and as part of their professional team carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance programmes. Expertise in high-pressure water jetting, electro-mechanical clearance and descaling, CCTV surveys, reporting and minor drain repairs are essential for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drain clearance and PPM using van mounted jetting and Picote electromechanical units
  • CCTV condition surveys using Solo-Pro inspection system
  • Drain renovation installing localised structural repairs
  • Experience with Blue-light lining system an advantage but not essential
  • Minor excavations
  • Experience working in confined space

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within the drainage industry at least 3 years preferred and strong interest in this industry
  • Experience with all forms of drain clearance and maintenance equipment
  • Knowledge of working on pumps
  • Experience working in confined spaces
  • Strong knowledge of commercial drainage systems
  • Ability to complete CCTV Surveys and detailed reports
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full clean manual UK driver's license and able to pass DBS checks
  • We will support your further training courses as required
  • Must be willing to commute and stay away when required (with notice)
