Job Title: Senior Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer

About the Role:

An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their dynamic team in Sheffield. This role involves working on a variety of projects with a good mix of both office-based reports and site supervision, predominantly in the Yorkshire region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage geotechnical and geo-environmental projects, ensuring high-quality delivery from inception through to completion.

- Provide guidance on geotechnical parameters for foundation design, slope stability, and related aspects.

- Conduct site investigations, risk assessments, and interpret geotechnical and environmental data to provide clear recommendations.

- Prepare technical reports, including ground investigation reports and risk assessments.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists.

- Provide technical mentorship to junior staff, supporting their development and enhancing team capabilities.

Requirements:

- A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with relevant post-graduate qualifications (MSc preferred).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical and/or geo-environmental consultancy.

- Strong technical skills, including site investigation design, geotechnical analysis, and contamination risk assessment.

- Proficiency in industry software (e.g., HoleBASE, gINT, GeoStudio, etc.).

- Full UK driving license and ability to travel to various sites.
