Your new companyHays are working in partnership with a well-established company that designs and manufactures products for the construction industry. Due to expansion, they are currently hiring a Structural Engineer to be based in Fermanagh.This company has gone from strength to strength over the last 40 years and is now the market leader with multiple sites throughout the UK and Europe. They have been recognised for their iconic structures and engineering excellence. Involved in the UK's highest profile building projects, they design and engineering capabilities to deliver the UK's largest, most complex projects. With multiple sites across the UK and factories abroad.Your new roleWorking alongside an established team, the Structural Engineer will directly report to the Technical Director to support the Engineering team in the production of structural calculations and designs.Key Responsibilities:

* Provide steel weight estimates and concept designs in line with company standards and clients' project specifications, to assist the sales department at the bidding stage

* Work as a team member dedicated to fulfilling the project design requirements

* Preparation of clear design sketches

* Monitor job progress within specified schedules

* Check drawings and structural calculations and analyses from colleagues and sub-vendors

* Liaise with subcontractors regarding contracted-out structural design work

* Utilising Masterseries for structural design

* Other duties as assigned from time to time.

What you'll need to succeedTo qualify for the Structural Engineering role, our client requires candidates to have the following:

* Graduate in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 1-2+ years' experience in structural engineering and 3D design

* Previous experience of working in a 3D analysis environment is essential

* High standard of analytical & technical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

* Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure

* Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with foreign clients, colleagues and suppliers

* Able to liaise and co-ordinate with staff of all levels in multiple offices around the world

* Knowledge of Masterseries is essential, knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and other software would be advantageous

* A practical technical background relevant to the position
