We are recruiting for a very successful ladies lifestyle brand who are looking for a Senior Garment Technologist to join their busy team.
You will need to have at least 7 years experience working on jersey multi products and be used to working in a busy department.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Prepare garments for fit sessions, create workbooks, review construction and components.
  • Ability to measure garments and models confidently,
  • Documenting measurements and training other team members.
  • Attend fit sessions, take responsibility for fitting garments and making fit comments
  • Updating workbooks and size charts and sending to factories.
  • Confidently liaise with suppliers and factories within Europe and the Far East.
  • Ensure all products are fit for purpose and meet companies' Fit and Quality standards.
  • Send fit amends/ spec changes to suppliers ensuring these are clear and easy to follow, including images and annotations.
  • Advise on the best construction methods/ techniques to help improve the quality and cost of product
  • Ensuring production process runs smoothly, dealing with any issues that may arise.
  • Approve shipment samples and AQL reports.
  • Work with design and supply base to develop new seasonal products
  • Have experience of approving and developing packaging and labelling standards.
  • Be able to approve and reject test reports.
  • Understand different methods of construction for Jersey garments & understand cost impact of fit and construction comments.
  • Update brand manuals for testing and compliance requirements.
  • Working with the factories to ensure these are maintained.
  • Check factory audits and ensuring audits are up to date.
  • Supplier and factory visits.
  • Support on the Transparency pledge.


Person Specification:

  • Minimum 7 year's experience would be beneficial
  • 5 years' of jersey product experience
  • Strong understanding of pattern cutting and grading.
  • Used to working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly competent IT skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Confident communicator and highly organised.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage own workload and be a team player.
  • Experience in working with sustainable products would be beneficial.
