Technical Sales Representative - Ireland

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Field Sales Representative to join my client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across various manufacturing sectors, providing tailored workholding solutions, and driving business growth through effective sales strategies.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs, present solutions, and develop strong relationships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify New Opportunities: Proactively seek out new business across manufacturing sectors to provide workholding solutions.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets by developing effective strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Technical Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and deliver engaging presentations that showcase the value of workholding solutions.
  • Sales Process Management: Create tenders, quotes, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., design and marketing) to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Post-Sales Support: Provide after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and identify further opportunities for collaboration.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Understand customer pain points and offer tailored technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Deliver effective client presentations and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Contribute to pricing decisions, sales strategies, and contract negotiations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degreein Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ yearsof experience in a technical sales role, preferably within workholding or tooling.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, able to propose innovative technical solutions.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Offshore Mining experience - Desirable

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Irish market and customer preferences.
  • Experience with CRM and sales management tools.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing.
