Your new companyFor almost 20 years, this company have fostered a culture of innovation and investment in the latest technologies to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of clients. Over the past few years, have moved towards the development and manufacture of precision machined components, across high value manufacturing sectors, including Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Pharmaceutical. Your new roleDuties will include setup and operate 3 and/or 5 axis CNC Milling machines using set up sheets and NC program data supplied by the engineering CAM programmers, within allocated time frames. Set up and machine components on 3 axis milling machines using self-written NC programmes that have been created from customer supplied engineering drawings. Understand fully and accurately interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical data to allow competent inspection and measurement of machined components that ensures conformity to specifications. Be proactive in identifying and solving issues that may arise during setups and production. Select, assemble, and install tooling that is required for the machining process. Monitor NC programmes during production and give feedback to the CAM programmers regarding any issues or improvements with the NC programmes/ setup.What you'll need to succeedIdeally, you will have 3 years proven practical experience in a setting role within a tool room / CNC machine shop environment and be able to demonstrate complete understanding of all aspects of setting and operation of CNC milling machines.
