For the successful Manual Machinist, our client is offering:

Up to £34,580 per year (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday, 8 am till 4:30 pm, 2:30 pm finish on Friday
Permanent position
Training and development provided
On-site showers & canteen
23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
Overtime Available

The role - Manual Machinist :

Setting, and operating a manual lathe turner
Tool changing
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Working with Dean Smith & Grace, Colchester Mastiff, Ajax Lathes
Making bespoke and small-batch orders
Working to tight tolerances

What our client is looking for in a Manual Machinist

HNC/NVQ/City and Guilds in Engineering or equivalent BENEFICIAL
Previous experience in a similar role ESSENTIAL
Must be fully trained in the use of manual lathe turners ESSENTIAL
Must be able to operate manual machines ESSENTIAL
Previous experience with Herco, Dean Smith & Grace BENEFICIAL
