Welder / Fitter Site Lead / SupervisorSalary: €55,000 to €75,000 (DOE)Location: Co. AntrimWorking Hours: Full-time, on-site presence requiredSyntech Recruitment are partnering with our client, a leader in stainless steel pipework and bespoke products for the Pharmaceutical, Brewing, and Distilling sectors. They are recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fitter Site Lead / Supervisor to manage an exciting new project due to start in Belfast, with additional projects planned in other locations following its completion. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead teams, oversee projects, and shape success with a leading company.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of skilled pipe welders and fitters with a “hands-on” approach.
  • Interpret and work with engineering documentation, including P&ID drawings (essential).
  • Develop project schedules and ensure time is managed effectively.
  • Attend company meetings and issue/revise method statements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and foster a positive, problem-solving environment.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and other trades through effective communication.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, managing medium to large teams.
  • Ideally time-served as a fitter/welder, with 5+ years of project supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and utilising engineering documentation, particularly P&ID drawings (essential).
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead teams to success.
