Your new companyA prominent M&E Contractor with a successful track record and a growing portfolio of new projects is looking for an Electrical Pre-Construction Manager to join their projects division. Established over 25 years, they are a leading provider of Mechanical & Electrical services to various sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, heritage, residential and hospitality. They are recognised for their expertise in design and build, and refurbishment projects throughout NI and UK wide with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability. Your new roleAs a Pre-Construction Manager within the Projects Division, you will be expected to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise, including a solid understanding of Electrical regulations.

  • Collaborating with the commercial team to ensure financial accuracy in final bid submissions.
  • Working with the company's appointed design partners to develop designs that meet employers' requirements and align with bid submissions.
  • Coordinating mechanical and electrical designs.
  • Conducting on-site surveys, when necessary, to assess existing structural implications and service installations.
  • Preparing, managing, and distributing information release schedule documents.
  • Attending meetings with main contractors/clients and leading communication with design and specialist supply chain partners.
  • Reviewing all drawings, schedules, and technical submittals before issuing them to clients for comments/approval.
  • Assisting contracts managers and the purchasing department with project procurement to ensure compliance with specifications and drawing requirements.
  • Liaising with specialist supply chain partners to ensure their bid submissions are compliant.

What you'll need to succeedEssential:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record and expertise in all aspects of electrical installations and regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to plans to avoid disappointments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful, reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational, and people skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software.

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with specialist software packages such as Amtech, AutoDesk products, and similar tools.
