Your new companyHays are working in partnership with a leading Civils & Construction contractor in their recruitment for a MEICA Manager. With over 80 years' experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland, this is a great opportunity for an experienced MEICA Engineer to join their civils division.Your new roleAs a MEICA Manager, you will work across projects offering support to site teams, ensuring that the MEICA systems are designed, installed and commissioned to required standards in a timely and efficient manner. This role will involve 3 days travel within UK and/or RoI on a weekly basis, but the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days.Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing delivery of utilities to meet programme constraints
  • Managing pre-construction activities and deliverables associated with any MEICA subcontract and associated interfaces
  • Ensuring coordination with other design disciplines
  • Supporting excellence in health and safety standards
  • Managing technical approvals to ensure compliance, acceptance and timely procurement
  • Ensuring MEICA programme milestones are achieved
  • Providing technical support to site teams with regard to subcontract works
  • Ensuring installation standards are adhered to and compliant with contractual requirements
  • Regular reporting on KPI's
  • Ensuring systems are commissioned in a timely manner and in line with industry standards and project requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with supply chain
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement

What you'll need to succeed

  • Self-starter able to work within different teams across the business
  • Relevant qualification (Degree/HND) or time served in any of the following;
    • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Instrumentation & Control Engineering
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Independent working and drive for results
  • Knowledge of MEICA systems
  • Water/wastewater experience
  • Access to a vehicle and qualified to drive
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office knowledge
