Health & Safety Manager
England (Site-Based with Regional Travel) | £60,000 - £70,000 + Package (and accommodation if needed)

Were working with a top-tier UK main contractor known for delivering complex, high-value construction projects across multiple sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education. With a growing order book of major schemes ranging from £20m to £60m, theyre now looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to oversee H&S operations across multiple sites in England.

The Opportunity:

As Health & Safety Manager, youll be the key figure in ensuring the successful delivery of safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible sites. Youll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and the senior leadership to drive a proactive, positive safety culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all site-based health, safety, and environmental functions

  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and investigations

  • Implement best practice and drive continuous improvement across sites

  • Deliver training and toolbox talks for site staff and subcontractors

  • Support tendering and pre-construction with HSEQ input as needed

What Youll Need:
  • Experience in a main contracting environment (essential)

  • Strong knowledge of UK construction H&S regulations

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)

  • IOSH membership (desirable)

  • Able to travel between sites as required

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
