Your new companyThis role sits within a large organisation in Belfast that specialises in providing services to domestic and commercial customers. This company values each member of their team and offers a number of development and training opportunities to progress your career further. Your new roleIn this role you will be part of a wider customer service team, responsible for recording customer and job requests on company systems and initiating appropriate responses. You will be responsible for inbound and outbound customer contacts in response to customer emergencies and general queries. Your key responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Handle incoming and outbound telephone calls effectively in an effective and efficient way
  • Assist in the administration and planning of maintenance work and customer connection planning
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in line with company values
  • Respond effectively to reported emergencies and recording of customer data
  • Highly proficient in data inputting and assisting with administrative tasks
  • Updating connection, metering and service information on company systems

What you'll need to succeedEssentials

  • At least one year's experience working in a customer service role which includes dealing with telephone queries OR At least one year's experience in a retail environment OR At least one year's experience in an administrative position
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and own initiative without supervision
  • Ability to multitask various activities
  • Excellent communication skills, including a polite and friendly telephone manner Desirable
  • 1 year's experience working within a contact centre dealing with high-volume telephone enquiries
  • Experience of managing a diary system,
  • Experience of updating high levels of data on a computer system
  • Experience of complaint handling
