Your new companyIt is a well-known local employer and a leading manufacturing company. They have appointed Hays to assist them in recruiting an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their team. This is an office-based role. Hours of work will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12pm on Friday.Your new roleAs Customer Service / Internal Sales Representative, you will be a key point of contact between external customers and the organisation. You will be responsible for providing first class sales support to the Sales Team, ensuring all customer orders and issues are addressed in a timely fashion, as well as liaising between customer and internal departments to ensure efficient co-ordination of the customer order process using the SAP system.As Customer Service Representative, you will manage all aspects of order entry, order processing and order shipment. Communicate with customers regarding issues such as order status, order changes and confirmations. Maintain customer records to include weekly reporting on order status. You will be responsible for the preparation of reports for internal / external sales meetings and customer visits. Creating export paperwork for shipments. Creating and maintaining customer records. Working with buyers and planners to achieve on-time customer deliveries. Complying with and supporting all Health, Safety & Environmental programs, policies and procedures. Performing any other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.What you'll need to succeedAs Customer Service Representative, you will have GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent qualifications). Be able to demonstrate recent experience within a Customer Service role. Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills.
