My client is seeking a skilled Temporary Customer Service Officer to support our local authority client. This role is focused on handling council tax inquiries and requires a Welsh-speaking individual to provide exceptional customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for council tax inquiries, assisting residents through various channels including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Address and resolve questions related to council tax billing, payments, exemptions, and account changes.
Process applications, adjustments, and updates related to council tax efficiently and accurately.
Provide clear and accurate information about council tax policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive support for all council tax-related issues.

Requirements:

Fluent in Welsh and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a local authority or similar public sector environment.
Knowledge of council tax processes and regulations is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using customer service and administrative software.
