We are currently working with a global financial institution to recruit a Data Business Analyst on a day rate contract to work with large data sets providing detailed analysis, identifying and remediating data quality issues.

You will be responsible for consolidating and examining headcount data to ensure completeness and accuracy. This includes analysing headcount and project data for monthly snapshots and preparing data for upload into project tracking systems. You will review large volumes of data for accuracy, identify data exceptions, and perform remediation while assisting with analytics and reporting. Additionally, you will appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the organization's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets. This involves driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following skills/experience:

  • 3 years operating in a Business Analyst role in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing large data sets, preferably in a financial organisation
  • Advanced Excel skills to manage large volumes of data - including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and other formulas
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Presentation experience (PowerPoint preferable)
  • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to ask questions, challenge existing processes, and seek solutions.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 6-month period, there is a high possibility of extension.
