An exciting role for a senior engineer to utilise safety, reliability, and system engineering expertise in developing sophisticated products. This position involves balancing time and cost constraints to create compelling safety and reliability cases. The engineer will work on safety assurance for complex weapon systems and reliability assurance to ensure lean and effective programmes. The role offers international work and a deep dive into cutting-edge technologies



Key Responsibilities:

  • Influencing technical aspects of sophisticated products from concept to delivery
  • Balancing time and cost constraints to construct a convincing safety and reliability case for customer satisfaction
  • Optimising safety assurance efforts, balancing it against the lethal attributes of complex weapon systems
  • Ensuring progressive reliability assurance and managing an effective reliability programme
  • Developing a deep understanding of the system and its operating context
  • Collaborating closely with military partners
  • Working within a team to deliver high-standard safety and reliability engineering
  • Engaging in a variety of project work, including international assignments


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in systems design and systems engineering
  • Proficiency in safety and reliability engineering
  • Strong understanding of defence and security-related technologies
  • Ability to balance safety assurance efforts with required system attributes
  • Experience in developing and managing reliability programmes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
