LOCATION- Aberdeen
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000 to £50,000 per annum
My client designs and manufactures a range of Special Purpose equipment going into research and development of subsea infrastructure. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in their office in Aberdeen.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years Knowledge & Experience of Mechanical Design
- Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Excellent 3D/2D CAD skills
- Knowledge of materials
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Someone who is motivated to learn and develop their skills
- Be keen to develop with a company long term
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the current engineering team and technicians
- Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
- Producing 3D designs and schematics using CAD software
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
