Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire
Salary: up to £37 000 based on qualifications and experience
Shift: Monday to Friday shifts, with overtime available after 40 hours
Start Date: Immediately

We are hiring for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to assist in the build, repair, and maintenance of industrial cutting machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company in the UK specialising in the service, repair, and reconditioning of cutting machinery and systems. You will be part of a dedicated team, working on both new machinery and reconditioning older equipment.
Duties of an Multi Skilled Engineer
You will be working as part of a highly skilled team and will be responsible for:
- Carrying out fault finding and repairs on reconditioned machinery
- Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
- Performing tasks such as bench fitting, machining, and fabrication
- Working on both hydraulic and mechanical equipment
- Assisting with the build of cutting machinery
- Occasionally working in the field as well as in the factory
Skills and Experience of an Multi Skilled Engineer
You will need the following skills and experience:
- At least, 2 years' experience in a relevant field, ideally with a maintenance background
- Experience working with industrial equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
It would be beneficial to the role if you also had:
- Electrical bias with experience in hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of modern safety control systems
- Experience with heavy lifting equipment (training will be provided)
