We have a fixed-term Maintenance Engineer role available with TATA Steel in Lisburn, with the potential for extension or a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone with ership skills and a strong electrical engineering background, looking to make a real impact within a dynamic environment.

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small engineering team, overseeing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and process improvements.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all process and auxiliary equipment, focusing on improving uptime and reducing costs.
  • Record and report maintenance activities using appropriate IT systems.
Essential Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade (ideally through an apprenticeship).
  • Proven ership experience within a service centre or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and contractor management.
  • Excellent ership, communication, and organisational skills, as well as IT literacy.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Electrical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial environment.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Flexibility, a desire to learn, and adaptability to new equipment.
  • Driving license and use of a car (preferred).
