We have a fixed-term Maintenance Engineer role available with TATA Steel in Lisburn, with the potential for extension or a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone with ership skills and a strong electrical engineering background, looking to make a real impact within a dynamic environment.

Role: Maintenance EngineerLocation: Lisburn, Northern IrelandRate: £20 - £23 per hour PAYEContract Length: Temporary (Potential for Extension/Permanent)Shift Pattern: Days

Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Manage a small engineering team, overseeing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and process improvements.
Ensure the maintenance of all process and auxiliary equipment, focusing on improving uptime and reducing costs.
Record and report maintenance activities using appropriate IT systems.

Essential Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade (ideally through an apprenticeship).
Proven ership experience within a service centre or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and contractor management.
Excellent ership, communication, and organisational skills, as well as IT literacy.
Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Electrical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial environment.

Desirable Requirements:

Flexibility, a desire to learn, and adaptability to new equipment.
Driving license and use of a car (preferred).
