Role- Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary- £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type- Permanent

Location- Derbyshire

My client is an Engineering company in the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Derbyshire on a permanent basis.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
10 or more years of industry experience working in similar design and analysis focused role
Excellent proficiency with CAD software ideally SolidWorks or similar
Proven ability to drive Engineering development
Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials sheet metal, structural steel, process pipework etc.
The ability to understand system requirements
Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

Remote work (At home) with UK based project work assaignents
Perform development activities and find new mechanical solutions
Being involved in the product design and development process using CAD
Working with high precision instrumentation products
To develop and manage the mechanical engineering activities of major and minor projects to ensure that they are delivered safely, accurately and on time
Modelling, analysis and the development of mechanisms
Involved in building and developing prototypes
Conducting design reviews
Producing the relevant documentation that is required
Driving continuous improvement
