What you will be doing:

Reporting directly to the Calibration and Acceptance Team Leader, you will be responsible for undertaking all Calibration and Acceptance processes on a variety of ultrasonic instruments within a UKAS accredited laboratory;

  • Work with the Calibration and Acceptance Team Leader to achieve calibration and acceptance schedules and to meet Business Objectives.
  • Support & maintain the company's (ISO 9001/ ISO14001/ ISO17025) quality procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Ensure HS&E procedures are followed.
  • Undertake all Calibration and Acceptance procedures and accurately record all results.
  • Maintain records, databases & paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously develop and improve Peak NDT's calibration and acceptance procedures and specifications.
  • Report Non-conformances, perform Root Cause Analysis when issues arise and ensure any lessons learned are appropriately documented.
  • Undertake fault investigation and complete repairs where required.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience of working within an instrumentation calibration/testing laboratory or similar.
  • Candidates should hold a relevant engineering/electronics qualification or possess equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge on the use of test equipment, i.e. multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators etc. would be beneficial.
  • Understanding and appreciation of ISO and UKAS requirements.
  • Knowledge of UKAS uncertainty budgets.
  • Self-motivated & Team Player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Excel & Word.
  • Note: Training would be provided in all of the above areas for the suitable candidate.
