Summary of the Electronics Design Engineering role:The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for new product development from concept through to implementation of high technology based engineering products. Electronics Design Engineer Key Skills:
  • 3-5+ years minimum years industry experience
  • Have an understanding of electronics fundamentals and basic theory
  • Experience of the full product design lifecycle – start to finish
  • Electronics Circuit Design (analogue & digital)
  • PCB Design & Schematic Capture
  • Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, ADC, DAC
  • Practical skills - Design verification, debug and failure analysis to component level and experience in using lab test equipment
  • Knowledge of writing technical documents (boards schematics, design report, design justification document)
  • Good teamwork & communication skills
Nice to have skills:
  • Experience using Altium Designer, OrCAD & Cadence
  • Circuit Simulation – LTspice or similar
  • Knowledge Power supply design (linear and switched mode, loop compensation)
  • Knowledge of working with Sensors (especially inertial sensors) & embedded systems
  • Knowledge of electronics design CAD (Cadence OrCAD preferred)
  • Experience with microcontroller and FPGA based design
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI design best practices
  • Experience in ECSS/MIL standards
