Responsibilities: Developing a new version of an established sports game franchise, understanding networking topologies, using C#, working with multiplayer APIs, and complying with console requirements.

Software Defined Network Engineer - Outside IR35 - £400-£700 P/D- Hybrid/Remote

I am working with a leading console games studio looking for a Software defined Network Engineer to join their team for a year long project as they develop a new version of an established sports game franchise.

Required Experience

Prior Industry experience (2+ Years)
Understanding of Networking Topologies ( NAT, UDP, TCP/IP, Sockets)
Prior experience using C#
A strong interest in Networking and Online gaming.
Knowledge of 3rd party Multiplayer APIs
Experience using networking concepts such as matchmaking, server hosting, multi-threaded coding and load balancing.
A strong understanding of current and next gen console and their compliance requirements.
