Job Title: O&M Technician - Solar Power Plants

Location: Lysaghtstown, Cork, Tullabeg, or Wexford

Coverage Area: County Cork

Job Description: Intervl is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician to join our team, focusing on our solar power plants around Dublin. The successful candidate will be based in Lysaghtstown, Cork, Tullabeg, or Wexford and will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our photovoltaic installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) contractually defined with customers and provide the necessary interfacing.
  • Analyse and resolve technical issues that arise in photovoltaic installations.
  • Adhere to all company procedures and guidelines.
  • Interpret drawings and wiring diagrams accurately.
  • Perform maintenance services on electrical components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot failures.
  • Report on maintenance activities comprehensively.
  • Follow up on operation and maintenance activities with detailed reports.
  • Implement the preventive maintenance plan for all equipment.
  • Operate and resolve all existing faults promptly.
  • Attend to and support emergencies at PV plants within the assigned area.
  • Participate in integrated commissioning and start-up.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma with a focus on Electricity Professional Studies (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage and Power Electronics.
  • Understanding of Technical Design.
  • Expertise in photovoltaic solar energy; knowledge in Wind, Hydroelectric energy, or other forms is also valued.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • English Proficiency (mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel abroad for limited periods and on short notice.
