Job Brief: Networks and Security Engineer
Overview
We are looking for a Networks and Security Engineer who has core experience working on networking technologies in public cloud preferably Azure and GCP. The engineer will have excellent technical skills and can adapt to changing needs in an agile environment.
The Networks and Security Engineer will be aligned to a specific business unit and will work on change initiatives supporting the needs of the business unit.
Responsibilities
- Support the Product Owner in constructing a backlog (user stories/technical requirements)
- Work with Agile Delivery Lead in providing proper estimation of work and help in delivering the work in a timely manner
- Be an integral part of the squad and act as the go to person for networking requirements
- Consume and understand technical requirements and contribute to / challenge the design before executing any work
- Document the work being executed and provide handover to BAU team for day to day operations
- Collaborate with engineers, testers, and other team members for migration work , DR tests etc including working out of hours where applicable
- Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
Requirements
- Azure networking (NSG , VNet peering , UDR , Private Link /Endpoint, Azure firewall , load balancer)
- Deployment experience of Azure vWAN Hub and Cloud NGFW
- Build VPNs with other cloud providers and appliances
- Checkpoint cloudguard and Palo VM and VMSS (VM scale set) in Azure
- Azure DNS
- Infoblox DDI
- Expressroute and VNET gateways
- Terraform , GIT
This is a Hybrid working position and would require being on site 2 days per week and one of three locations,York , Colchester or London, UK.
