Role: Energy Markets Manager

Location: London or Manchester (Hybrid Working)

My client is an industry-leading smart grid technology developer which provides platforms for traditional power distribution networks. In the last 3 years they have had an aggressive growth strategy going from 15 employees to over 300 with the plan to reach 500 by the end of 2024.

With this aggressive growth strategy in place, they are now looking for a Energy Markets Manager for our Network Intelligence product offering with a passion for renewable energy and the decarbonization mission, who wants to join a rapidly growing energy tech scale-up.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate energy markets and ancillary service markets for Europe, identifying participating criteria for all relevant asset types.
  • Support the business development team on evaluating the value of flexibility for those regions.
  • Represent the company and actively participate in relevant industry forums to accelerate the energy transition.
  • Use data analysis, modelling and first hand market research to help inform strategic business decisions.
  • Work with the product teams to identify and undertake areas of analysis needed to deliver upcoming items on the roadmap.
  • Work closely with customers to navigate the complex energy markets and understand the company offering.


What you'll need

  • 3 - 5 years' experience working in a similar role relevant in any European energy markets.
  • An ability to respond to complicated briefs and technical documents and communicate an appropriate response / strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • An ability to pick up work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information.
