Our client is a successful manufacturer of Food products. We are now seeking a Technical Administrator / Technical and Quality Assistant to join a team of 6 in a role that will support the Technical Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company in a day based role. The role is fast paced, demanding and diverse, and will hold a real breadth for exposure to all aspects of technical and quality within the food industry. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with attention to detail and have a passion for technical and quality to be successful in this role.

The role of the Technical Administrator / Technical and Quality Assistant will involve:

·Monitor pro-actively safety, legality and quality issues relating to raw material, WIP and finished goods in production and warehouses to ensure standards are met through the correct implementation of the company's integrated management systems.
·Assist in the management of technical functions including (but not limited to) microbiology, non-conformances and traceability's/mass balance.
·Assist and/or cover in the management of the monitoring, updating, investigation and progressing of complaints.
·Assist in the management and completion of internal audits.
·Assist in monitoring and managing of technical services.
·Attendance to NPD handovers and ensure understand required standards to monitor once in production.
·Conduct regular checks on all lines (including packing) to assure the products quality and legality is at the required standards, including the paperwork and weight checks
·Collect required finished product samples and environmental swabs for microbiological testing

Essential Skills/ Experience for the Technical Assistant:
·Competent with computer systems and software
·Experience working within a Quality or Technical role within Food Manufacturing OR a Food Science Degree
·Methodical and logical with attention to detail
·Ability to work independently as well as being part of the technical team
·Ability to handle and keep information relating to the business confidently
·Ability to plan time effectively
·Good interpersonal and communication skills

The role will require some flexibility on hours as the team covers the following two shift times: 6am - 3pm / 1pm - 10pm Mon - Friday

Salary - £27248 pa
