Extrusion Operator

Salary: £28,000 - £30,791.49 per annum

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Extrusion Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Sunderland. The successful candidate will be instrumental in setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion lines, drying and blending equipment, and offline granulation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain extrusion lines, drying, and blending equipment.
Monitor and adjust processes to ensure product specifications are consistently met.
Conduct quality checks and perform online adjustments as required.
Wrap and prepare finished products for despatch.
Complete all necessary production paperwork accurately.
Support the Shift Team Leader in quality testing and measurements.
Handle pallets and assist with their movement.
Maintain high housekeeping standards and participate in hygiene audits.
Promote and ensure safe working practices at all times.

Person Specification:

Professional Qualifications:

A good general education with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
A current counterbalance forklift licence is required.

Experience:

At least 2 years' experience in extrusion manufacturing.

Technical Competencies:
