Your new company

Join our client within the Corporate Banking division as a Business Development Manager in the Corporate Banking team based in Belfast. This is a leading brand with a growing team and a group of experienced colleagues to learn from.

Your new role

As a Business Development Manager in the Corporate Banking Division, you will support bankers in identifying and converting new bank opportunities across Northern Ireland. This involves developing new leads, assisting in deal structuring, drafting credit applications, and managing new customer onboarding. You will be a focal point for business development within the region, managing a portfolio of customers to maximise revenue and engagement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally, you will have deep knowledge and skills in lending and credit risk analysis for corporate customers. Or you may be a candidate who has trained as an accountant through Corporate Finance, Insolvency or similar discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of the economic environment's impact on customer needs and business.
  • Experience in a service role meeting customer needs with appropriate products.
  • Good knowledge of mandatory risk policies and procedures related to credit conformance, regulatory, operational, and legal risk.
  • Self-confidence, gravitas, and experience to command respect from stakeholders.
  • Proactivity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Desirable: Experience in Corporate Finance, client portfolio management, relevant qualifications, industry knowledge, and a track record of business development.
