A highly successful educational publisher, based in Dublin is looking to recruit a motivated and market focused Commissioning Executive to join their team. This is an ideal role for a junior editor looking to take the next step in their editorial career. The Commissioning Executive will support the Commissioning Editors in developing high quality content, both print and digital, by researching, planning and managing the reviews of key project elements. This role offers hybrid working, with 1 to 2 days a week in the Dublin office.

The idea candidate will have a genuine interest in educational publishing and the desire to be involved in the future of this sector, together with exceptional communication, people and analytical skills, and sound editorial skills, as well as the ability to deal with data from a wide range of sources.

You will have sound editorial skills with a strong eye for detail, an analytical and commercial mind-set, and the ability to grasp concepts quickly when working with content across a variety of subjects. A proven ability to multitask and prioritise a varied workload effectively whilst working towards deadlines is essential as are excellent IT skills. Teaching experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
