1. Job Summary
Highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to join our geosolutions team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining GIS applications using ArcGIS and opensource GIS technologies. He/She will work closely with project managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality GIS solutions that support our organization's goals.

2. Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications and services using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript or Python.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for GIS projects.
* Create and manage geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
* Develop and implement web-based mapping applications and interactive visualization tools.
* Perform spatial analysis and data manipulation using ArcGIS tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
* Optimize GIS workflows and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS applications and systems.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing systems.
* Prepare documentation for GIS applications, including user manuals, technical specifications, and training materials.
* Mentor junior GIS developers and provide guidance on best practices and methodologies.

3. Job Requirements
Essential Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in GIS development, with a focus on ArcGIS and Opensource GIS technologies.
* Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Pro.
* Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
* Proficiency in GIS programming and scripting languages, particularly ArcPy, Arcade, Python and SQL.
* Solid understanding of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, and cartography.
* Experience with spatial databases (e.g., Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL / PostGIS, SQL Server) and data management practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Exposure to AI/ML usage in GIS Applications
Domain Experience * Railways, Government especially in UK, Utilities (Electric, Water, and Gas) and Insurance
Nice to Have Skills.

* Able to travel to client sites in and out of the region (typically infrequent multi-day trips or rare multi-week trips, currently in the UK but potentially overseas in future)

* Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing objectives and priorities
* A GIS evangelist who comfortably and enthusiastically engages non-techies in discussions about technology
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's / Master's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
* At least 5+ years in a GIS Developer / Sr. Developer role
* Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
* Knowledge of remote sensing and image processing techniques.
* Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
* Certification in ArcGIS or GIS-related disciplines (e.g., GISP).
* Experience with programming/scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
* Familiarity with remote sensing and geospatial data processing techniques.
* Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
