Your new companyHays is pleased to be working with a leading manufacturing organisation to appoint an HR Director to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. Your new roleKey responsibilities will include these 5 core areas:

  • HR Strategy - Contributing to the development of the business strategy and building the people strategy in support of current and future needs of the business.
  • Talent Management - Designing, implementing, and developing a talent management process which will systematically identify, develop, engage, retain, and deploy individuals across the business.
  • Cultural Development - Liaising with the senior management team on the co-ordination and implementation of the company's DE&I strategy/social value initiatives in line with project/ planning requirements
  • Recruitment & Selection - Ensuring that all recruitment is in accordance with that plan and agreed policies and budgets
  • HR Policy, Compliance & Leadership - Have a thorough understanding of HR law in particular relating to contracts, terms and conditions, discrimination, fair dismissal, grievances etc.

What you'll need to succeedEssential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as an HR Director OR 5 years' experience working as an HR Resources Manager with CIPD Level 5 (Associate).
  • Demonstrable experience acting as business partner for senior executives and ability to always uphold confidentiality, frequently dealing with highly sensitive information.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to communicate and engage with all levels of management.
  • IT literate - proficient in MS package and managing HRIS systems.
  • Experience of collating data to write reports and presenting it to senior management to influence business decisions.Desirable Criteria:
  • Professionally qualified (CIPD Level 7 - Chartered) or working towards this.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, delivering high quality service and results.
